CIVL Proficiency Badges

CIVL proficiency badges are standards of achievement, intended to provide a graduated scale of difficulty to measure and encourage the development of a pilot’s flying skill, particularly in cross-country flying.

At its 2005 Annual Meeting in Guatemala, CIVL decided to revise the CIVL Badge system. The new system came into effect on 1st May 2005. The CIVL Proficiency Badges may ONLY be issued by the appropriate NAC or federation, which validate the flights and order the badges. Badges now consist of new pins and embroidered patches, whose design was adapted to the new CIVL Logo.

Detailed information on rules, requirements and new badges are available on the CIVL Proficiency Badges Webpage.
