F1E Junior World Team - Serbia-France Trophy

History

Donated by Serbia and France:

The 2011 World Championships for F1E were held at Zlatobor in Serbia. The Junior Team event was won by France and the French team received a trophy from the organiser. There is no FAI perpetual trophy for the F1E World Champion Junior Team and the trophy awarded in Zlatibor was intended as a permanent award to the French Team.

France proposed to donate this trophy to FAI in order to be registered as a perpetual trophy for F1E World Champion Junior Team. Serbia is in agreement with this plan but, since they had permanently gifted the trophy to France, consider that France should make the registration of the trophy.

On the basis of the name suggested by Srdjan Pelagic for that trophy, the trophy should have the following name : Serbian-French F1E Junior Team Trophy.

F2B European Championships Team Trophy

History

Donated by Italian Aero Club in 2013

Summary of Achievements by Luciano Compostella

He started with his sporting career in 1959 and member of the Italian team since 1962. With unique piloting, technical and manufacturing capabilities, he always designed and built personally his models that, together with the sporting results reached at international level, allowed him to reach a unique worldwide reputation.

He was rewarded for his sporting merits by the Unione Societa' Sportive Monzesi (lnsegna d'oro 1994) and by the Regione Lombardia President Roberto Formigoni on 1998.

Moreover, he anticipated and interpreted the technical evolutions that influenced the category: the aerodynamic model characteristics, the command system of the movable surfaces, use of engine silencers and the use of big displacement 4 stroke engines.

Some of the models he designed and that have been built by many aeromodellers worldwide are here listed: Camacc and Skilat 60 - 70; Tango 80; Lampo and Solar 90.

In 1992 he founded at Monza the Gruppo Modellistico Monzese (GMM) that created various champions in the control line aeromodelling world. Alberto Maggi Maurizio Milani, 2 times junior F2B European Champion and 2 times junior F2B World Champion

The sporting results achieved by Luciano Compostella are unique in the world:

  • 7 times F2B European Champion
  • 2 times F2B Team European Champion
  • 23 times F2B Italian Champion
  • Alphonse Penou Diploma in 2009
