FAI Sporting Licences Validity Check

Welcome to the FAI Sporting Licences validity check page!

From this page you can search for currently valid Sporting Licences.

Enter at least three letters of either the family name or the given name and click the 'SEARCH' button.

Please note that due to privacy reasons you now need an access code to search for licences.

To check your own licence, please enter the e-mail address stored in the sporting licence to the following field and press Submit. If you do not know what e-mail address is stored in the database, please contact your NAC. List of NACs can be found at: http://www.fai.org/members#active_members

If you are an event organiser, team captain etc. and need to search for multiple licences, please send a request for access code to it@fai.org Please enter the access code. Please mail us at it@fai.org to request a code

IF YOU ARE A FAI MEMBER ORGANISATION (a NAC or a national body empowered to issue FAI Sporting Licences on behalf of the FAI)

Please make sure to upload in the database and update on a regular basis all valid data relating to the FAI Sporting Licences issued by your country.

IF YOU ARE A COMPETITOR, please directly contact the FAI member (NAC - National Airsport Control) in your country. The FAI does not issue FAI Sporting licences. Only NACs do.

The 60th Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett will take place from 15 – 24 September 2016 in Gladbeck, Germany, the epicentre of global gasballooning activities which will therefore provide for sure perfect conditions.

The winners of the 61st Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett 2017 said they were “overjoyed” to be awarded their FAI gold medals at a ceremony in Fribourg, Switzerland on Saturday 16 September 2017.

The 61st Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett Gas Ballon Race launched tonight

This evening 21 gas balloons from 13 countries launched from Gruyères airfield (Switzerland) that sits below the famous chateau for the 61st Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett Race. Over the next few days the teams will aim to fly as far as possible, measured in a straight line from the launch field to the landing site. Meteorological experts are forecasting that the balloons will follow a north-eastern route.
