Table of Contents Table of ContentsThe sessions of the 110th FAI General Conference were
held at the Westin Nusa Dua Hotel in Bali, Indonesia, on
14 and 15 October 2016.
More than 100 delegates from Active, Associate,
Temporary Member Countries and International Affiliate
Members were present, as well as FAI elected Officers,
Presidents of Honour, Companions of Honour, delegates
appointed by Presidents of Commissions and Observers.
The General Conference was officially opened on
Thursday 13 October during the FAI Awards Ceremony
where Medals and Diplomas were presented by the FAI
President Dr John Grubbström.
A spectacular airshow by the Jupiter Aerobatic Team,
the Indonesian Air Force aerobatic display team flying
with six KT-1B Wongbee, impressed the participants on
Friday, before the start of the Conference.

ELECTIONS
Frits Brink from the Netherlands was elected as FAI
President for a 2-year term.
TheDelegates voted for Bengt Lindgren (Sweden),MaryAnne
Stevens (Canada) and Jean-ClaudeWeber (Luxemburg) to
join the Executive Board. Bob Henderson (New Zealand),
Alvaro de Orleans Borbón (Spain) and Agust Gudmundsson
(Iceland) were re-elected.

General Conference.
FINANCE
The FAI Executive Director (Finance) reported on the 2015
Financial Statements and theGeneral Conference adopted
the Auditor’s Report for the year 2015. Later, the Delegates
also approved the budget for FAI operations in 2017.
All details on the FAI finances, including the report of the
FAI auditors Price Waterhouse Coopers, are set out in
the Minutes of the General Conference and available as
annexes to the Minutes.
FUTURE GENERAL CONFERENCES
The next FAI General Conference will take place on 26 and
27 October 2017 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
TheDelegates voted in favour of the bidby Egypt to host the
112th FAI General Conference in Luxor in 2018.
