DESERT HEATS
Heats were run at a venue in the desert before
pilots moved to the main Palm Dropzone for
the finals.
HOT IN THE CITY
Once there the course was tightened for the
final race, encouraging the pilots to fly their
crafts right to the edge of their capabilities. ”It
was a tight competition all the way to the end,”
said gold medallist David Broom. “It all came
down to the final race. I had a six-second lead
going into it, but the competition could have
been anyone’s.”
