21st FAI World Precision Flying Championship in Bautzen, Germany: entries from 59 pilots and 16 countries so far

Preparations are in full swing and a remarkably large number of preliminary entries has already been received so far. The 21st FAI World Precision Flying Championship will take place at Bautzen Airfield in Saxony, Germany from 7th to 14th September 2013. At its meeting in Larnaca, Cyprus on 3rd November 2012, the General Aviation Commission (GAC) of the FAI had entrusted Deutscher Aero Club (DAeC - German Aero Club) with the organization of the event.

1st Memorial flight Rally Hans GutmannIn remembrance of Hans Gutmann, his friends of the Austrian and Luxembourg Aero-Club Karl Brandstetter and Jean Birgen have taken up the organisation of the 1st Memorial flight Rally Hans Gutmann. Departing on 16 June 2012 from Gragnano Trebbiense, Italy, the pilots will stop in France, Spain, Portugal and France before arriving in Bitburg, Germany, on 23/24 June. Pilots can participate in one or several stages of the flight.

Wieczorek wins the 20th World Precision Flying Championships

20th FAI World Precision Flying Championship podiumThe 20th World Precision Flying Championships was held in Brits, South Africa from 23-29 October 2011.

The winner of the event was Michal Wieczorek (Poland). He was followed by Boleslaw Radmoski (Poland) in 2nd position and Michal Filip (Czech Republic) in 3rd position.
