Policy
The FAI shall work to promote regulations that facilitate air sports activities, and actively oppose regulations that cause unnecessary restrictions, deter growth or hinder expansion of air sports.
Goals
The FAI Regulation Expert Group shall:
- Examine present and planned regulations affecting air sports activities, promoting regulatory changes that improve safety, flexibility, service and economy
- Support FAI Members (NACs) and regional air sports organizations in influencing their regulatory bodies for the benefit of air sports activities and development
- Work to prevent and eliminate unnecessary regulatory restrictions on air sports activities
- Liaise with the Air Sport Commissions in regulatory matters for improved understanding of regulatory issues affecting air sports activities
- Suggest effective FAI representation at international and/or regional organizations when important regulatory matters are being addressed, and assist in such representation if so requested by the FAI Executive Board
