It has been a few years since the FAI Rotorcraft

Commission initiated a process of reflection on

how to develop the Helicopter community: the CIG

Air Sport Medal, awarded to young pilots competing

in Championships, and the FAI On-Line Helicopter

Competition were established to increase the

participation of new and young pilots in Helicopter

competitions; Certificates of Proficiency were created

to encourage the pilots to gain outstanding skills.

The Commission holds high hopes that all its efforts

will bear their fruits at the 15th FAI World Helicopter

Championship in 2015.

COMPETITION

The Commission is working hard on the preparation of its

main event, the 15th FAI World Helicopter Championship,

set to take place in August 2015 in Przylep, Poland.

Hubert Gesang of Germany.

The Gold, Silver and Bronze FAI Rotorcraft Certificates of

Proficiencywere created in2013 to recognise internationally

the levels of pilot experience achieved bymeeting specific

Competition

that any crews in the world can take part in.
