In 2014, competitions in Speed Skydiving and Indoor
Skydiving were sanctioned by the FAI for the first time.
These two new disciplines were introduced as part of the
FAI Parachuting Commission’s plan to bring attractive
and dynamic events to the public. This strategy proved
to be effective as they were both great successes. Speed
Skydiving has produced skydivers recording speeds of
over 500km/h, while Indoor Skydiving now provides an
opportunity for young people to particpate in freefall-
type events with spectators only metres away.

Additionally, the 38th CISM World Military Parachuting
Championship took place in Solo, Indonesia and 11
Category2 events were held in 2014.
EVENT PRESENTATION
In today’s world of advanced communication technology,
the publication of results and video performances for both
the competitors and the viewing public is a goal that the
Commission is currently focusing its energy on.
PARACHUTING TOURS AND EVENTS
Through a company established to foster and promote
new professional tours and events, the Commission is
working on bringing non-traditional Parachuting events
worldwide in the next few years.

The Delegates of the Commissionmet on 1 and 2 February
2014 in Vienna, Austria.
