IOC Women and Sport Award 2013 - call for nominations

air sports-womenThe International Olympic Committee (IOC) yearly recognises outstanding contributions to the development of women’s participation in sport and sports administration with the IOC Women and Sport Award.

The nominations for the 2013 Women and Sport Awards are now open and we have the pleasure of inviting you to nominate candidates.

A trophy will be awarded to one winner per continent and another at world level to a deserving person as per attached conditions. The awards ceremony will take place in Lausanne in July 2013. As an incentive to the awardees, the IOC will fund projects that they would develop in cooperation with National Olympic Committees (NOC) or International Federations (IF) which would be aimed at promoting women and girls.

You will find below the rules and the application form. A detailed nomination file should reach the FAI Head Office by November 20th 2012 so that we can forward it to the IOC Department of International Cooperation and Development before the official deadline. A special panel will scrutinise the entries for the IOC Women in Sport Commission’s final decision and announcement.

We are confident that the FAI comprises high level candidates whose experience and passion should reach out of the FAI sphere.

For any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Segolene ROUILLON, FAI Members and Services Manager.
