Paragliding Accuracy at The World Games 2013

paragliding treuille titre 2

Could you land your paraglider on a coin? Could you do it over and over again in all wind conditions and under pressure from the best paraglider pilots in the world?

The discipline of paragliding accuracy landing requires an enormous amount of skill, experience and judgement. Competitors are winched up to a height of 300m before releasing and steering towards the target area.  The aim is to touch down on the dead centre of an electronic scorepad, measuring just 3cm across.  Pilots must remain on their feet after landing.  This requires nerves of steel as the smallest error could be the difference between a gold medal and 6th place.
