The 10th FAI World Advanced Aerobatic Championships came to a finish with all flight programmes safely completed under the direction of Contest Director Pavol Kavka. Overseeing the judging was Chief Judge John Gaillard of South Africa.
The 2012 World Advanced Aerobatic Champion is Anton Berkutov of Russia. Anton flew a Sukhoi SU-31M to victory with an extremely small margin of less than two points over second place winner Simon De La Breteche of France. Simon flew a CAP 232. In third place was Romain Fhal of France, also in a CAP 232.
Team winners were (1) France, (2) Russia, and (3) USA. 81 pilots from 19 nations competed in the Championships.
