John Grubbström today announced the appointment of Pierre Duval as an additional board member of the FAI’s marketing company FAME.
In confirming this appointment the FAI President said “We are pleased that Pierre has accepted this appointment and we look forward to his energy and enthusiasm helping FAME develop the specialist air sports products”.
Bob Henderson, Chairman of FAME, commented “Pierre brings a new perspective to the FAME Board, especially with his insight into marketing and sales. I look forward to working with him to grow FAME and the Air Sport activities.”
M. Duval became a glider pilot at the age of 16 and has been a private pilot ever since. He has constructed his own aircraft and also been involved in restoring and maintaining older airplanes. Pierre joined the Aeroclub de France in 2001 where he created a new Commission in charge of Safety, Regulation and Environment which he still manages working closely with the French CAA (DGAC) and Cologne based EASA at highest levels. He is also now the President of the FAI Environmental Commission. As a business man he has experience as an executive in large information technology international companies. After 25 years of sales and marketing management, he created his own company in 2008, integrating aviation high end services for governmental and private clients in France, the USA and Africa in the fields of defence and commercial flying.
