The 4th FAI World GP Gliding Championship is now over and the new Grand Prix World Champion is the Italian Giorgio Galetto. Sebastian Neagel (GER) finishes second and Peter Hartman (AUT) third. The highest level of participants and a very tricky terrain have made this race very spectacular and fought until the very end. The young German pilot Sebastian Naegele made life difficult for the more experienced Giorgio, engaging with an exciting head-to tense until the last day, when the expierence has allowed Giorgio to take advantage of the weather, very marginal, and the technical characteristics of his glider, winning the race of the day, while Sebastian landed in a nearby field, without any consequences, losing the first position. In one week Sebastian will take part to the 7th FAI Junior World Gliding Championships in Musbach (Germany), and he is for sure among the favorites. The participation has been extraordinary, the hangar where the race was broadcast live was always full of spectators. Moreover, very many people followed the race live streaming on the website of the event, with hundreds of connections per day.
