This evening at the technical meeting when it was announced that the preferred alternative accuracy drop zone will be the one on the beach, about 4 km further down the coast.  The style draw was then made:  jump 1 \"1\"; jump 2 \"2\"; jump 3 \"4\" and jump 4 \"5\" with jump 5 \"free\".

We hope to have a schedule to post in the morning - 8.00 a.m. start.

At 15.30 there was a Press Conference to announce the formation of the Dubai Parachuting Federation, thanking HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum — Crown Prince of Dubai for his overwhelming support of the sport and giving Dubai the opportunity to promote and advance the sport of parachuting, particularly for the young people.  The new federation will be formally inaugerated with officers etc. during the Mondial, with the Head Office based close to Skydive Dubai and will work in conjunction with the FAI to see how they may work together for the benefit of parachuting internationally.

A question was asked about the opening ceremony, scheduled to take place from 7.00 am tomorrow evening.  We have had hints of what we will see by the light shows we have been able to observe from our hotels during the evenings as they prepared the arena.  However, if you want to know more then click here for the programme.

At the moment jumping is scheduled to start at 8.00 am in the morning through to 15.00 hrs - but once we have more information we will post it on this site.
