4th European Canopy Piloting Championships & 8th World Cup of Canopy Piloting, 24th August 2015

windy morning

One day to go - but this morning was windy - above limits for the competitors to continue practice jumps on the pond - although the fun jumpers enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile the organisation titivated and made their final checks - putting the finishing touches before the start of competition tomorrow.

Final preparationsMartin Lemay, plus a couple from his group of willing volunteers fixing the Official Noticeboard - seen by all who visit the Drop Zone restaurant (which serves really good freshly made food).  Martin is also posting all information relating to the meet on his Facebook page : 8th World Cup in Canopy Piloting

It just makes it easier to circulate information quickly - it is a pity that this page is not available on androids or iPhones.

14.30

The announcement came over the loudspeaker - the winds are dropping, may well be OK to continue with official practice jumps soon - will be tested on the next load.

Meanwhile the Trainee Judges have arrived and their first meeting with the Chief of Judge Training, Anders Berggren, is scheduled for 16.00 hrs..

By the end of the day those that wanted to had managed to make those practice jumps and then prepared to attend the welcome planned for us by the local community.
