Monday, 14th September - Final article from Teuge
The prizegiving started with thank you speeches to the Centre at Teuge for the hard work of all concerned with ensuring this World Cup and European Championships were a success. Henney Wiggins opened the proceedings and acted as Master of Ceremonies throughout, dressed in the traditional Dutch clothes he had worn when he started the competitions; jumping into the opening cerermony with the FAI Flag.

The decision of the organisers to award both medals when the same teams/competitors were on the podium for both the World Cup and the European Championships,,was unanimously supported by the competitors.
The Medal awards started with Speed Skydiving where all medal winners were the same in both events. The Gold Medal winner Marco Wiederkehr also broke his own World Record twice, the first time in the first round with a speed of 521.89 and in the final round with 525.79. Before the medals were presented Diplomas were also presented to those Speed Skydivers placed in the first 10..

The Artistic Events Medal Ceremony came next with both Freestyle Skydiving and Freefly having the same podium configuration in both competitions.

We then moved to the Formation Skydiving Medal presentation. Here we had two podium's for 4-Way Female with Australia winning the Bronze Medal in the World Cup and Poland in the European Championships - and for 8-Way Qatar won the Bronze Medal in the World Cup and the Netherlands in the European Championships. Formation Skydiving also had World Record breakers, the FRENCH 8-Way team broke the World Record on their second round jump with 30 points..

Once the medal ceremony was completed, Simon Woerlee, Meet Director, called all Gold Medal winners to the podium where they were presented with bottles of champagne. The audience scattered. The formal end to the Competitions was declared by Dr. Rainer "Exi" Hoenle, FAI Controller and 1st Vice-President of the IPC. The FAI Flag was lowered whilst the anthem played and it will be handed over to the meet director (not present) of the next FAI First Category Event in Parachuting; namely the 1st FAI World Championlships in Indoor Skydiving to be held in Prague (Czech Republic) 21-24 October 2015.
