Friday night, 31st August 2017 - the Closure of the European Championships with the Awards Ceremony and Closing Banquet - and a great evening was had by all.   After instructions from Zaca to keep the speeches short - there were a lot of medals to award, the President of the Aeronautical Association of Montenegro, Dragan Ivancevic, thanked everyone and presented the medals; as follows

After the last of the medals had been presented, thanks were given by the announcer, Zorac Raccic - 'Raca' from Slovenia to everyone involved in the Championships, from the Organiser and his support staff, the Judges, the FAI Controller, the Pilots from the Slovenian Air Force, without whom it would not have been possible to have a competition.  He was followed by me, closing the competition on behalf of the IPC with the thank yous endorsed from the IPC Bureau, not to forget the Jury, Manifest, Scoring Section and of course all the Competitors for making the effort to come and compete in what had not been an easy competition.  I would like here to add my thanks also to the Montenegrin pilot of the helicopter who flew all the accuracy rejumps (of which there were many) allowing a faster turnaround.  To anyone I have failed to mention my apologies, but your work was appreciated.

After the FAI Anthem was played to complete the closing ceremony the flag was passed from the organiser to IPC (represented by me) and then to the Host of the World Championships, Ani Stamenova,  to be held  in Montana Bulgaria 24-31 August, 2018,

The party continued until the early hours of the morning.
