HandiFly - the French Initiative

The IPC Bureau fully stands behind the initiative for "HANDIFLY", a competition program for handicapped persons, who otherwise would be unable to be part of a freefall skydiving event. This program, developed and introduced by France is another big step forward in the direction shown by the participation of a disabled competitor from the USA in the Accuracy Landing event in Dubai: Freefall competition for the disabled!

The essence of the "HANDIFLY" competition is a tandem-pair where the active competitor is the handicapped competitor and the Tandem Master is just a carrier who has the important lifesaving role for them both after the disabled competitor has accomplished the competition program.

The IPC Bureau encourages Tandem Masters around the world to pair up with interested handicapped persons who have the desire to fly, to compete and to participate.
