The culmination of a spectacular weekend in Copenhagen where the newly crowned World Swoop Freestyle Champion - David Ludvik, Jnr (USA) took the podium, alongside his fellow medalists, Nick Batsch (USA)  2nd place and Curt Bartholomew (USA) in 3rd place. Congratulations to all the medal winners!

CF 2017 Web Challenge - Reminder

After an initial flurry of interest - the entries have gone quiet.  So here is a reminder for those that are still thinking about entering - do so your entry is awaited with baited breath by our judging panel.

If you have sent an entry but had no response, perhaps you used the 'old' route - then please send again using the entry form from this year's challenge.

All the information is available either from the listing below - or the Events Box 1 at the foot of the IPC Front News Page.  It will remain there for the rest of the season.

After the successful European Championships and World Cup in Saarlouis we should have a minimum of 7 team entries - no restriction on the number of teams per NAC!  This is open to ALL Canopy Formation Teams in the world!!

The party finished late on Saturday night as everyone celebrated or commiserated with each other at the end of a tiring championships due to the weather.  But lots of thanks are owed to all who made this competiton week possible and worked hard to make it as enjoyable as possible to compete at.  Who knows, Patrik Lauer did hint at hosting a World Championships and maybe it will be third time lucky with the weather behaving normally at sunny Saarlouis.

A new record - not FAI but Guiness - High altitude Tandem

Nott/Johnson Record High-Altitude Tandem Jump

On 18 May of this year, a pair of tandems made what is claimed to be the highest documented civilian tandem jump to date.

The jump took place at Skydance Skydiving Center at Davis, California, using a Cessna Caravan with the Texas Turbine (900 hp.) conversion.The team consisted of tandem masters Chris Peterson and Greg Foster, tandem passengers Julian Nott and Curt Johnson, and videographers Josh Kesler and Robbie Young.
