As the 200-day mark to the FAI World Air Games Dubai 2015 approaches, everyone, from the Event Organisers to the Executive Board, the FAI Head Office, the Air Sports Commissions and experts, is in full action to make the event a huge success. A series of meetings took place recently which brought together key personalities from the FAI community and the Event Organising Committee.
The FAI has today announced the list of the 11 sports and 24 disciplines selected for the FAI World Air Games Dubai 2015. More than 1000 athletes, crews and officials will be involved in the multi air sports event. It will be the biggest FAI World Air Games ever organised.
FAI officials gathered in Dubai this week to get to know the members of the Organising Committee, the host city and the competition venues of the FAI World Air Games Dubai 2015. A series of meetings were held where the Executive Board and the FAI World Air Games Experts from the Sports Commissions discussed the key issues pertinent to FAI’s flagship event.
The Spacemodelling Sport Federation of Ukraine and their sponsor, Noosphere Ventures USA inc, have presented the new logo of the 2015 FAI European Championships for Space Models which will take place in Ukraine.
The FAI announced today that the 2015 edition of the FAI World Air Games has been awarded to the United Arab Emirates and will be held in Dubai. This multi-discipline event will be organised by the Emirates Aerosports Federation and will take place over a period of 12 days in December 2015. It is the only world competition that brings together the various different air sports.
The FAI and Breitling are pleased to announce the FAI World Championships events selected for full Breitling branding and support for 2014.
The World Games 2013 are officially underway in Cali, Colombia, after yesterday’s Opening Ceremony at the Pascual Guerrero stadium in front of more than 35.000 spectators. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos opened the event in the presence of FAI President John Grubbström, IOC President Jacques Rogge and International World Games Association President Ron Froehlich.
AeroMusicals, an Aeromodelling discipline that combines aerobatic skills, flying precision and music, will have a great opportunity to promote itself at the World Games 2013 which will take place from 25 July to 4 August 2013 in Cali, Colombia. Two world-class AeroMusicals pilots will showcase their sport in front of thousands of spectators and TV viewers for 5 days, in between the Ju-Jitsu and Wushu events, at the Coliseo Evangelista Mora.Global partners
