This page lists the radio frequencies used in the various FAI member countries. The information comes from national aeromodelling federations and CIAM delegates. In each case, the source of information, and the date of last update is indicated. We welcome comments and proposals for updates/additions to this page, but will only accept information coming from authoritative sources. We therefore ask you to channel your comments and requests for changes through your national CIAM delegate.
The FAI declines any responsability about the accuracy and validity of the published information below.
It is the responsability of each aeromodeller to comply to the rules of the country in which he/she operates, in particular concerning the use of legal frequencies.

Radio Controlled Model Aircraft can only operate legally in Australia on frequencies approved by the Australian Communications Authority.
The frequency bands approved by the M.A.A.A. are
29.720 - 30.000 MHz
36.000 - 36.600 MHz
40.660 - 40.700 MHz
2.4 GHz frequency band, provided that the equipment conforms to the Australian Communications and Media Authority Class Licence and the relevant Australian Standards for the specific technology. In addition the MAAA requires that the usage complies with the requirements of MAAA MOP 058.
It should be noted that the assigned centre frequencies for operation are 5kHz removed from the band edges. Frequencies other than those identified above are not recommended to be used at any field operated by the M.A.A.A., any State Association, Club, or any M.A.A.A. affiliated member.

The following frequency bands are recognised as available for model aircraft control within the UK
Model control:
26.960 MHz to 27.280 MHz: Effective Radiated Power 100 mW
34.945 MHz to 35.305 MHz: Effective Radiated Power 100 mW
2.4 GHz: Effective Radiated Power 100 mW
Model control and telemetry:
458.5 MHz to 459.5 MHz: Effective Radiated Power 100 mW
Model aircraft may only be operated using only radio-control frequencies currently allowed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Only individuals properly licensed by the FCC are authorized to operate equipment on Amateur Band frequencies.
