Main decisions taken at the FAI Microlight and Paramotor Commission 2011 Annual Meeting

The 2011 Annual Meeting of the FAI Microlight and Paramotor Commission (CIMA)was held on 11 and 12 November 2011 in Lausanne (Switzerland).

Amongst the subjects discussed during the meeting were :

• The proposal submitted by NAC Brazil to host a first Panamerican Championship in 2013;
• The latest infrastructure developments achieved in Djerba (TUN) that would allow hosting future Paramotor competitions;
• The wish expressed by Tunisia to become again an FAI Member;
• The implementation of a standard bid document aiming at improving the preparation and quality of future competition bids.

Here are the main decisions that have been taken during the meeting:

2012

• 7th FAI World Paramotor Championship
  Awarded to : Marugan (ESP) / 25 - 31 August 2012

2013

• 12th FAI European Microlight Championship
  Awarded to : Kamenica nad Cirochou (SVK)
• 6th FAI European Paramotor Championship
  Awarded to : Türi (EST)

Sporting Code Changes

Amendments will be included in the 2012 Version of Sporting Code Section 10.

Award

The Ann Welch Diploma was awarded to Mr. Jan Bèm (CZE) for his World Record.
