What's up with our coming championships? The Plenary voted...

2017 – August 2 to 9  – 20th FAI World Hang Gliding Class 2, Serres, France.

Practice event: August 2 to 9, 2016.

2018 – 1 to 15 April – 3rd FAI Pan American Paragliding, Baixo Guandu, Brazil.

Practice event: April 2017. 

2018 – May 26 to June 3 – 4th FAI Asian Paragliding Accuracy, Lopburi province, Thailand.

Practice event: May 22 to 28, 2017. 

2018 – July 14 to 28 – 8th FAI World Hang Gliding Class 5 and 20th FAI European Hang Gliding Class 1, Ager, Spain.

Practice event: July 9 to 15, 2017.

2018 – September 15 to 22 – 6th FAI European Paragliding Accuracy, Kobarid, Slovenia.

Practice event: September 20 to 24, 2017.

2019 – July 12 to 27 –  22nd FAI World Hang Gliding Class 1, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Italy.

Practice event: July 27 to August 4, 2018.

This evening 21 gas balloons from 13 countries launched from Gruyères airfield (Switzerland) that sits below the famous chateau for the 61st Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett Race. Over the next few days the teams will aim to fly as far as possible, measured in a straight line from the launch field to the landing site. Meteorological experts are forecasting that the balloons will follow a north-eastern route.
