Muroya wins in Germany’s Lausitzring

Yoshi-Win-600Yoshihide Muroya won the penultimate round of the Red Bull Air Race 2017 season on Sunday 17 September, when he flew the perfect race and set the fastest time to take the win.

The Japanese pilot was second to fly in the track in the Final Four round, and knew that he had to beat 50.846s, set by Matt Hall (AUS), who flew first.

Matt Hall wins Qualifying in Germany

Just 24 hours before the most critical race of the 2017 World Championship so far, Petr Kopfstein of the Czech Republic and Yoshihide Muroya of Japan also impressed in second and third.

Canada’s Pete McLeod rose to the top of Qualifying on June 3 to clinch pole position at the Red Bull Air Race in Chiba, Japan. In front of 35,000 fans at the only World Championship stop in Eastern Asia, McLeod threw down the gauntlet with a time of 54.609 and had to wait anxiously as the top pilots on the overall leaderboard tried to topple him.
