2nd of July 2006 This first task looks like a cat’s cradle with take-off over Les Gets at Mont Chery and landing at Morzine.

A fast race of 69,4 km ended with 92 pilots in goal. It gave the 1st place to current European champion Chrigel Maurer, who finished in 2 hours 26 minutes (average speed: 26k/h). The first woman was Ewa Wisnierska in the 35th place overall and only 3 minutes after Chrigel.
