CIVL Plenary Meeting

The FAI Hang Gliding & Paragliding Commission (CIVL) held its Annual Plenary Meeting on 11 and 12 February 2006 in Lausanne (SUI).


Awards : The FAI Hang Gliding and Paragliding Diploma was awarded for the year 2005 to Mr Alfio Caronti (ITA) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of hang gliding.

Elections : Mr Flip KOETSIER (NED) was re-elected CIVL President. All CIVL Officers were re-elected (see the List of CIVL Officers and Delegates).

FAI Seminar for Event Directors

Over 20 people, representing 8 air sports and 15 countries, have registered for the FAI Seminar for Event Directors to be held in Bröndby/Copenhagen from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 April 2006.


A few more participants can still be accepted, and we invite all Event Directors and Representatives of FAI Air Sport Commissions or FAI Member countries interested in attending the Seminar, to send their Registration form and pay the Registration fee as soon as possible, but no later than Friday 3 March 2006. The remaining places will be allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.
