World Air Games 2009 : D-Day minus 365

In exactly one year, on Saturday 6 June 2009, the opening ceremony of the World Air Games 2009 will be held in Turin. Last Saturday, almost a year after the organization of the World Air Games 2009 had been awarded to the city of Turin, test events for Parachuting, Aerobatics and Helicopters (Photos) were held at the Torino Aeritalia Airport, the main venue of the 2009 Games.

A series of test competitions will be conducted throughout 2008 (Schedule) to gain experience with the competition rules especially developed for the World Air Games, and to progressively implement the technical infrastructure required to conduct the Games.
The next test competitions will be held on 7 and 8 June; they will be part of the official Selection Contests for Aeromodelling events at World Air Games 2009.
