Nick Kaltchev

It's with a great sadness that we have learned that Mr. Nick Kaltchev, President of the BULGARSKI NATSIONALEN AEROKLUB, died from a long illness on September 4th. Mr Kaltchev was a long standing figure of the FAI: IPC Delegate, FAI Vice-President and President of his National Aero Club, everyone enjoyed his presence at the various meetings he attended to.

On behalf of the FAI President, the Executive Board and all the FAI Community, we would like to express our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to M. Kaltchev's family, as well as to the Bulgarian Air Sports community who lost one of its great supporter and contributor.

Mr Kaltchev will be remembered in the World of Air Sports as a towering figure who achieved great things with both the Aero Club of Bulgaria and the FAI. We shall remember him with affection.
