Davis Straub, who chairs the USHGA Competitions Committee, has recently published an article in his Oz Report (CIVL Screws US Pilots, Vol 10, Number 52) which follows his usual anti-CIVL agenda but which gives a very one-sided and inaccurate picture of the unfortunate situation – unfortunate that is for the pilots involved.

Paragliding Accuracy: UK rules!

The Paragliding Accuracy pre-World has just been completed in Trakai, Lithuania. The event took place from February 16th to 19th on the frozen Galves Lake, with take-offs with stationary winches whatever the wind direction.

The 9th FAI EUROPEAN PARAGLIDING CHAMPIONSHIP will take place from the 1st to the 14th of July. It's time for the participating NAC to register their pilots by sending a list of up to 6+2 eligible pilots. Team size are advertised in the Local Regulations. Revamping, Part 2

At this time, the revamping of our web site is in its second phase. A new architecture and new texts are in place. We wanted to accomplished that before the Lausanne Plenary. We did, but had no time to check that each text was updated, that nothing was missing. Then the Plenary made new modifications to our regulations. So updating each page is now our top priority.

2006 Plenary: a first report

Twenty-six nations were present and another three represented in Lausanne, Switzerland, from February 11th to 12th, for the 31st plenary of the CIVL. The Plenary was preceded on February the 9th by a Bureau meeting and on the 10th by a full day of working by the different working groups and subcommittees. This is a brief summary of those meetings.
