IPPI card update

To all National Hang Gliding/Paragliding Associations Following the introduction of the IPPI card in 1992, national associations and pilots throughout the world have benefited from the internationally recognised standards of the IPPI card. However a lot of pilots are still not using it. To encourage more pilots to use the IPPI card we would like all national hang gliding and paragliding associations to promote this card using the information found on CIVL web site. Some of those information badly need to be updated.

WPRS Update June 2005

On 1st May CIVL moved to the new ranking system for Paragliding. There are considerable changes and pilots are urged to check their name and ranking. Hang Gliding and Paragliding Accuracy are also updated.

PARAGLIDING The only competition added was the Pre PG World Cup in Colombia. Competitions deleted were the British PG Piedrahita, Nordic 0pen, PG World Cup La Clusaz, Russian Open (Austria), World PG Champs 03. Results not received so not added are: 3rd Monaco Open, La Palma Open, Korean Presidents Cup, Argentine Loma Bola, Polish Cornizzolo Cup, Norwegian Open, French Alps/Annecy, 3rd Porto de Espada, British Open Long Mynd, Finnish Nationals and Finnish League, Piedrahita Open, Swiss PG Champs, Korean League, Gianni Cerroni Trophy, X Copa Pirineus, Slovak Nationals, Hungarian Nationals.

Deleted were the Alpen Open, British PG Open St Andre, Croatian PG Open, French PG Champs, HVS Finnish PG Open, Lithuanian Open, Portuguese Douro Superior, Veltins Schmitten Pokal, Yu Open Sicevo. Team size at the 2005 World Paragliding Championship

The November Paragliding Pilot Rankings have now been published. The WPRS Nations ranking of 15th Nov will set the team size for the Paragliding World Championship in Brazil 2005, according to section 7. The entry deadline is 09th January 2005.
