Final Day of the World Cup of Indoor SkydivingToday was the third and final day of the 1st World Cup of Indoor Skydiving. The final results, together with a judged video for each flight, are available at the relevant link above. The final rounds were conducted with a huge number of spectators in attendance and the atmosphere was electric, although there was not much risk of a change in the final ranking in FS. Flying kicked off with FS Open followed by FS Female. The two rounds were rapidly completed and the judges kept up pretty well with the scoring. FS Open was won by the Bad Boys from the Czech Republic and Female FS was won by Aerokart Deep Blue from France. After a break when the FAI Officials were given another opportunity to fly, the Artistic Events took off. Judging AE is slower than FS so while waiting for the scores to come out, the iFly staff gave a brilliant demonstration of what can be done in a tunnel. The final round brought some change to the Freestyle scores with Olga Bakulina from Russia slipping from second place to third, replaced by Collective Freestyle (Michael Sylva Jr). A successful Pan Americans Paragliding Championship is over. Bola Loma, Argentina, was a good place for the competition. The 5 valid tasks, averaging 64 km, were challenging and safe for the pilots. Lamb beats Arch in dramatic World Championship finale

FAI officials gathered in Dubai this week to get to know the members of the Organising Committee, the host city and the competition venues of the FAI World Air Games Dubai 2015. A series of meetings were held where the Executive Board and the FAI World Air Games Experts from the Sports Commissions discussed the key issues pertinent to FAI’s flagship event.
After a very successful 2014 season which saw the victory of British pilot Nigel Lamb, the Red Bull Air Race Championship is coming back in 2015 for eight races.
Britain's Nigel Lamb won the 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championship on Sunday with a dramatic victory under pressure at the season finale in Spielberg, Austria, with a heart-stopping second place finish after Austria's Hannes Arch ended up a disappointing fourth place in a nail-biting final in front of a sell-out crowd of 35,000 spectators.
Pete McLeod of Canada was declared the winner of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship stop in Las Vegas on Sunday after heavy winds forced the cancellation of the flying in the first of three final rounds. McLeod won the first race of his career by virtue of his victory in Qualifying on Saturday. Nigel Lamb of Britain moved into the overall World Championship lead of the world’s fastest motorsport series with 53 points on the strength of his fourth straight second place and Germany's Matthias Dolderer got his first podium of the year with third place.

Frenchman Nicolas Ivanoff had a flawless run in the Final Four on a hot and humid Texas afternoon and won the race with a time of 54.118 seconds with Britain’s Nigel Lamb taking second in 54.253 and Canada’s Pete McLeod finishing third in 54.666.
